Fall for the Arts, 2015
I'll be joining in on the fun at the Alliance for the Arts' Fall for the Arts Festival on October 17th, 2015 from 10-3. You can learn more about the festival here.
Peace by Piece, 2010Several years ago, my girlfriends decided that we should get together and offer a few parties to show off our crafty creations. We pulled it together and held several house parties that we called Peace by Piece. You can read about it here and here. We had great fun creating art, gathering and selling. A percentage of the proceeds were donated to charity. Besides me, Pat Collins, Claudia Goode, Sara Leone, Carolyn Hudson, Lynn Reinas, Zdenka Fiala, Susan Kim McDonald, and Peggy Alborn participated... all led by local rock star, Cathy Chestnut and realtor, Tara Molloy.

ACT Gallery Exhibit 2010In June, 2010, I was one of three artists featured at the ACT Gallery in downtown Fort Myers. Proceeds for the art sales benefitted the ACT Shelter.

Arts for ACT, 2012
The yearly art auction to benefit the Abuse Counseling and Treatment center here in Fort Myers is always fun to attend. The Arts For Act event offers raffle, silent auction, and active bidding on fantastic pieces of art that have been donated to benefit the cause. In 2012, David Acevedo was the featured artist.
I donated a couple of pieces of my flower collages on watercolor paper and canvas that we're inspired by artist Traci Bautista. Claudia Goode, the clever curator of the Arts for ACT Gallery downtown and head of this event, offered my collage works as part of the raffle. She paired my paintings with a monthly supply of beautiful flower arrangements that would be delivered by a local florist. The little glass jar in front of the display is filled with little pink tickets. I was pleased with the presentation and honored to be a part of the event. FGCU Exhibit2012

Layers, Fiber, Collage & Assemblage: Juried Exhibit at the Alliance for the Arts , October 3 – November 1, 2014For the October, 2014 exhibit, the Alliance for the Arts had 74 artists submit 140 works for the juried show. Only 39 pieces were chosen for the exhibit by the juror, and I am honored to have been among those selected. Read more about the exhibit here.
